Not the best of weeks but a 10-1 winner at Hexham helps.

I think the highlight for me was michael buckley's interview with lydia hislop when asked about his plans for constitution hill. that bloke has been around the sport for over three decades, so to see him finally get hold of a world beater is brilliant

Re: Cheltenham NAPS 2023
Group races where the actual money is (jockeys earn most from commission) are off level weights for a start, so you'd be a bit limited as to what you could ride!!!

Re: Cheltenham NAPS 2023
Quick racing question, it's probably a really silly one but I got thinking when listening to an interview with Red Rum's old Jockey Tommy Stack talking about the handicap weight horses carry. Jockeys are obviously sleight fellows so rather than eat like a fly to stay at say 9 stone why don't they just constantly ride a horse that is so good the horse is always handicapped at 12 stone and eat what they want as long as they stay at 12 stone. Thus the horse not requiring added weights! Obviously a jockey doesn't ride the same horse all the time but I'm surprised no-one has tried it.
